What is data archiving?

Although most organisations have a backup policy for their computer systems it can be a tedious and time consuming process to access the data from a backup.   And if you're maintaining a computer system just to have access to some important but not frequently needed archive data then you could be spending more money than you need to.

With the Quantor data archiving service your data can be put onto CD or DVD instead. (And Blu-ray disks as well.) This means that users can have immediate access to the archive files form any windows PC.  And they don't even have to have the original software installed.

The files are fully indexed, allowing Free Text Search and with data compression a single CD could hold 100,000 A4 Sales Invoices or Payroll records.  All available to view and print in seconds.

If the original documents used pre-printed paper then this can be replicated too.
